Bernice Stime scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter Friday as Riverside (3-1, 1-0) pulled away from host Chewelah for a 49-39 decision in a Great Northern League game.
The Cougars (3-2, 1-1) put together a third-quarter run to take the lead, but Riverside rallied. The Rams hit 10 of 11 free throws to help their cause.
Chewelah’s Chrissy Oneal and Jenna Rogers combined for 17 rebounds.
