Urgent Care Center To Open In February

Gritman Medical Center and local physicians are planning to open an urgent care center in February.

The Moscow Family Medicine group practice, along with other local physicians will operate and staff the center. QuickCARE will treat illnesses and minor injuries on a walk-in basis.

The cost of a visit to QuickCARE will be comparable to a visit to the doctor, which is considerably less than a trip to the hospital’s emergency room, said Dan Smigelski, president and CEO of Gritman Medical Center.

An emergency room had been the only source of medical treatment for tourists, conference attendees, University of Idaho students and residents who do not have a doctor.
