Try Your Hand At Art Of Weaving

“On-Loom Weaving for Beginners,” a course on the basic art of handweaving, will be offered by The Institute for Extending Learning.

Classes, 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 5 through March 23, will be at the Madren Center, 5305 N. Market.

Fee is $60, plus $25 for materials.

The class is limited to 15 people.

Migraines as art

The National Headache Foundation is sponsoring “Migraine Masterpieces” art competition, open to all diagnosed migraine sufferers.

Artists must express, through art, the impact headaches have on their day-to-day lives and how life improves when migraines are prevented or managed.
