Wedding vows were exchanged by Tashona Marie Walker and Shane Paul Bird in a July 12 ceremony at Manito Park.

James and Deb Walker, New Auburn, Wis., and Gordon and Sunshine Liggett, Olympia, are parents of the bride. Bird is the son of Ted and Shirl Bird, Bucoda, Wash.

A reception was at Sigma Nu fraternity in Cheney. The Birds are living in Olympia and planned to honeymoon in Victoria, British Columbia.
