Holiday Closures

Christmas Day on Thursday affects many services, some of which return to normal Friday:

Schools: Closed Thursday and Friday.

Banks: Most branches closed Thursday and Friday.

Mail: No regular delivery or postal box service on Thursday. Express mail and priority parcel will be delivered in Spokane on Christmas Day.

Normal service resumes on Friday.

Government offices: Federal, state, county and city offices are closed Thursday. State, county and city offices are open Friday, but not federal offices.

Parking meters: Don’t feed them Thursday, but do on Friday.

Buses: Spokane Transit Authority service is on holiday schedule Thursday and regular schedule Friday.

Garbage: Customers who normally receive garbage service Thursday will have garbage picked up Friday. If pickup is normally Friday, it will be Saturday.
