The 5-year-old Continental Indoor Soccer League has ceased operations, commissioner and founder Ron Weinstein announced.

Three teams, the Dallas Sidekicks, Houston Hotshots and Portland Pride, had left the league since the end of last season in October.

The eight remaining teams were the Anaheim Splash, Arizona Sandsharks, Detroit Safari, Indiana Twisters, Monterrey La Raza, Sacramento Knights, Seattle SeaDogs and Washington Warthogs.
