Two Charged In Man’s Death
Two 20-year-old Issaquah men have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man who was gunned down over a $100 debt on his 21st birthday.
Jivan Moksha Cranston and Michael James Collier were held in the King County Jail, each in lieu of $500,000 cash bail, after being charged Wednesday in Superior Court.
Michael S. Case Jr. was shot six times Dec. 20 at a Bellevue apartment in front of five witnesses. Court documents filed by deputy prosecutor Kerry Keefe said the shooting involved a loan of $100 to Case.
Keefe said Cranston, armed with an assault weapon, and Collier, with a shotgun, waited for Case at the apartment.
When Case returned, Keefe said, Cranston told Case to sit down or he would shoot him. Case told him to shoot and Cranston fired six rounds.
