Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: This is just a suggestion for recycling old photos that you may have several of.

I found when I write to friends or relatives who are ill or in convalescent homes, they may find it difficult to remember things. I enclose an old picture, as they might recall things of the past but not remember what they had for breakfast that morning.

So, I find sharing my photos makes me feel as though I’ve touched them with a bit of love. - Muriel Smith, Andover, Conn.

Dear Heloise: When ironing, I keep a spray bottle on my ironing board. If a wrinkle is hard to smooth out, I spray it lightly and my steam iron will do the rest. Often I’ve ironed in a crease and a spray will take it out. - Beulah Miller, Salem, Ore.
