LaCrosse-Washtucna proved itself Friday, beating visiting and fourth-ranked Garfield-Palouse 58-46 at LaCrosse to all but clinch the Whitman County League title.
Clint Ledbetter had 23 points and 10 rebounds to guide a 34-22 edge as the eighth-ranked Tigercats (15-2, 7-0) swept the Vikings (15-2, 5-2), who kept them out of the State B Tournament last year.
Cole Schweiger and Troy Nealey combined for 13 assists for the winners.
