Training Planned For March Organizers

Organizers are already preparing for the annual March for Jesus on May 17, when Christians of all denominations will celebrate Jesus in a march from the Arena through downtown and on to the Lilac Bowl in Riverfront Park.

As part of their preparation, a Leadership Training conference will be Feb. 13-15 at the Northpointe Best Western Motel, 9601 N. Newport Highway.

The conference is open to march organizers and those who want to learn more about the event.

Conference topics will include how to plan a successful march, team building, working effectively with ministers and developing a prayer network.

The conference cost is $15 each, or $20 per married couple.

Those wishing to attend are asked to register in advance.

‘And God Said’

The Whitworth College Theater troupe will present the play “And God Said” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Seeley G. Mudd Chapel at the college, 300 W. Hawthorne Road.

The play is a dramatic series of sketches that portray a variety of ways God spoke to people in the Bible. The sketches will be staged in a variety of styles, including monologues and songs.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
