Boston Harbor Loses

Compiled From Wire Services

Hello said goodbye to early Kentucky Derby favorite Boston Harbor, pulling away for a 1-3/4-length victory in the $105,950 Santa Catalina Stakes.

Hello, an Irish-bred making his second U.S. start, surprised the eight-horse field at Santa Anita. He covered 1 1-16 miles on a fast track under Chris McCarron in 1:42 3-5, snapping Boston Harbor’s fourrace winning streak.

Boston Harbor, the best 2-year-old colt, finished fourth in his 3-year-old debut. Bagshot was second and Carmen’s Baby was third.
