Ford To Suspend Work At Three Auto Plants
Ford Motor Co. will suspend production at three automotive plants if a company making seats for some models does not resolve its strike by this evening.
A total of 6,800 employees will stop working at the plants in Michigan and Ohio if no settlement is reached, said Ford spokeswoman Francine Romine-MacBride.
Workers at two Johnson Controls Inc. plants went on strike Jan. 28 after contract talks broke down.
