Make A Preemptive Strike Against Dirt

The Orange County Register

Instead of getting angry when your spouse, kids, guests or dogs track mud, water and all sorts of debris onto your carpet during these messy months, get the upper hand. Use a mixture of preventive maintenance and savvy treatment to keep your carpet clean.

Here are some specifics:

Use doormats. To control the amount of dirt tracked into your home, use door mats at the entrances.

Vacuum weekly. And don’t be in a hurry to get it done. You might miss so much dirt that your effort would be almost worthless.
