Versatile Aamodt Wins
Skiing has five disciplines and Kjetil-Andre Aamodt now has gold medals in four of them.
The 25-year-old Norwegian got the fourth gold winning the men’s combined in the World Alpine Ski Championships.
In an event that mixed a morning downhill run with two night slalom runs under floodlights, Aamodt was clocked in 3 minutes, 10.40 seconds, just ahead of Bruno Kernen of Switzerland in 3:10.68 and Austria’s Mario Reiter in 3:11.69.
Aamodt is now missing only the downhill gold - an event in which he’s won silver.
