Pullman Presbyterian Plans Sanctuary Dedication

Nina Culver Correspondent

Members of Pullman Presbyterian Church recently celebrated their first worship service in their new sanctuary.

They will host an open house and formal dedication celebration on April 13 at the church, 1630 NE Stadium Way.

Spokane’s Tan-Heyamoto Architects designed the new addition, and Robert Goebel General Contractors began construction in May.

The 5,000 square-foot sanctuary will seat 220. Other construction included a balcony and an elevator. The former sanctuary was remodeled into a fellowship hall.

The church organ also was refurbished, and more improvements are planned. It’s expected to cost between $80,000 and $100,000.

A three-year fund-raising campaign raised more than $800,000 of the building project’s $1.2 million price tag. The remainder will be covered with loans and an additional fund-raising campaign.

Reconciliation service set

North Addison Baptist Church, 6120 N. Addison, will host a special worship service at 6 p.m., Sunday, in recognition of Race Relations Sunday.

“You Are All One in Christ Jesus” will highlight issues of racial and ethnic reconciliation in the world.

The service will also feature choirs from the Russian Baptist Church and the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Pastors from each church will speak.
