Vena Blomgren Spokane
Graveside service for Vena Marie Blomgren, 89, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Wisconsin, Mrs. Blomgren died Thursday.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 16 years.
Mrs. Blomgren is survived by a daughter, Claydene Sullivan of Spokane; two sons, John Mason of Vallejo, Calif., and Paul Donaldson of Patagonia, Ariz.; a brother, Raymond Templin of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Marguerite Thompson Gordon Spokane
Memorial service for Marguerite Thompson Gordon, 87, is set for 10 a.m. Friday at Riverview Retirement Center. Another memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rockford United Methodist Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Rockford and graduated from Rockford High School and Cheney Normal School.
She taught in grade schools in Spokane, Douglas and Okanogan counties.
In 1935 she married Elton Gordon, who farmed at Rockford.
She moved to Seattle in 1967 and returned to teaching for eight years. In 1975 she returned to Rockford and tutored children.
She moved to Riverview Retirement Center in Spokane in 1983.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by three cousins, Eileen Moffett of Princeton, N.J., Joanne Hackett of Puyallup, Wash., and Maridean Bennett of Yakima.

Nora Nance Spokane
Memorial service for Nora E. Nance, 72, is set for 3 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nance, who died Thursday, was born in Orient, Wash.
She moved to Millwood in 1939 and married Paul Nance in 1940.
She worked in the meat-packing industry for nearly 30 years and as a cook at Bethany Home from 1982 until she retired last August.
Mrs. Nance was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Her husband died in 1982.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Nance of Germany and David Nance of Millwood; three daughters, Karyl Harding of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Mary Everett of Millwood and Sandee Stevens of Lynnwood, Wash.; a sister, Zelma Bryant of Silver Lake, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Youth Program.
Elmer Doolittle Spokane
Service for Elmer Roland Doolittle, 101, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River, Idaho. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River.
Mr. Doolittle, who was born in Clear Lake, Wis., died Wednesday.
He had lived in Priest River and was a logger. He moved to Spokane about 30 years ago and had operated a grocery store in Millwood.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
His wife of 53 years, Christine (Caprai) Doolittle, died in 1986.
He is survived by a daughter, Doris Hale of Spokane; a brother, Gene Doolittle of Priest River; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth Morrison Spokane
Memorial service for Ruth K. Morrison, 76, is planned for 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church. Private burial will be at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Morrison, who died Thursday, was born in Ridgeway, Pa.
She attended nursing school and moved to Spokane 32 years ago.
She was a homemaker and a member of Spokane County Homemakers.
Her husband, Samuel Morrison, died in 1966.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by a son, Gerald “Jerry” Morrison of Homer, Alaska; a sister, Jean Barry of Blasdell, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
Lorene Houser Spokane
Graveside service for Lorene E. Houser, 85, will be at 1 p.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North.
Born in McAlester, Okla., Mrs. Houser died Thursday.
She had lived in Spokane since 1975 and did personal homecare work.
She was a member of By Grace Thru Faith Church in Newport, Wash.
Mrs. Houser is survived by a son, David Houser of Yoncalla, Ore.; a daughter, Susan Sarnick of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Carl Huber Colfax, Wash.
Service for Carl Huber, 88, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church in Colfax. Burial will follow at Colfax Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Huber, who was born in Russia, died Friday.
His family immigrated to Nebraska when he was infant, and he later lived in Colorado and South Dakota.
In 1932, he married Marie Patterson in Yankton, S.D.
In 1936 they moved to Spokane, and in 1937 they moved to Odessa, Wash., where Mr. Huber worked for the Odessa Trading Co. They moved to Colfax in 1945, and he worked for Pepsi-Cola for a short time and also Jones Truck & Implement. He became an agent for New York Life Insurance and retired in 1969 after 24 years.
He and his wife moved to Apache Junction, Ariz., in 1971 and returned to Colfax in 1992.
Mr. Huber is survived by his wife; two sons, John Huber of Colfax and Kenneth Huber of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Paul Huber of Bellingham; a sister, Sarah Klann of Arriba, Colo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Harry Hanson Spokane
Vigil service for Harry N. Hanson, 83, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Jesuit House. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Hanson, who was born in Denbigh, N.D., died Tuesday.
He had lived in Spokane for 73 years.
Mr. Hanson was a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was a construction contractor.
He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Mr. Hanson is survived by two brothers, Bernie and Robert Hanson, and a sister, Bernice MacDonald, all of Spokane.
