Ski Games Set For Sunday

From Staff And Wire Reports

Farragut State Park will break new ground this weekend, or at least some old snow, when it hosts the first annual Ski Games Day.

The games, scheduled for Sunday, will include Frisbee and tag on cross-country skis.

AmeriCorps volunteer Hatton Greer encourages participants to bring ideas to help improve the games, because it might be the first time they’ve been played on skis.

The action begins at noon at the Bayview water tower. Follow state Highway 54 to where it turns toward Bayview, and ski toward the water tower from there.

Farragut does not rent skis, but several sporting shops in Coeur d’Alene and Hayden Lake do.

The park charges a $2 entry fee per car. Also bring appropriate clothing, water and snacks.
