Nhl Narrows Lists

The National Hockey League’s list of expansion hopefuls is down from 11 groups to six cities. The final cut may be made as early as the end of this season.

The pared list includes Atlanta, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Columbus, Nashville, Houston and Oklahoma City.

Those eliminated were two groups in Houston, in addition to Hampton Roads, Va., and Hamilton, Ontario, the lone Canadian entry.
