Churches Will Hold All-Night Gatherings

All-night worship and prayer gatherings are planned at various churches for each Friday during Lent. All of the sessions run from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will have the themes of Reconciliation, Revival/ Renewal, Reformation and Restoration.

Friday’s session will be at First Assembly of God Church, 828 W. Indiana. The sessions scheduled for March 7 and March 21 will be at Garland Avenue Church, 2011 W. Garland. The March 14 session will be at First Church of the Open Bible, 8303 N. Division.

All those interested in attending are welcome. Advance registration is not required, and there is no charge to attend. Beverages will be provided.

Also during Lent, morning prayer gatherings are scheduled from 6:30 to 8 a.m. each Tuesday at various sites around Spokane. Eight churches will host the gatherings simultaneously each week. For locations, call Dan Grether at 468-4855.

Cathedral hosts Lenten concerts

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes is hosting a Lenten Noontime Music Series. Concerts in the free series start at 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the cathedral, 1115 W. Riverside.

Wednesday’s concert will feature organist Joseph O’Donnell. The concert on March 5 will feature cellist Robert Beaumier and organist James Barrett. Sister Mary Katherine Trenary, organist, will perform on March 12. Organist Ron Vanasdlen will perform on March 19.
