Irwin Witham Colville, Wash.
Service for Irvin V. Witham, 83, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Colville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Park in Colville.
Mr. Witham, a 46-year resident of Colville, died Monday.
He was born in Mason City, Iowa.
He graduated from high school in Jerome, Idaho.
In 1941 he married Helen Hessler in Jerome. For four years they lived in Seattle, where Mr. Witham worked for Boeing Co. They moved to Colville in 1951.
Mr. Witham worked for Zoodsma Plumbing Shop until 1960 and the Spruce Canyon Boys Ranch until 1973. He retired in 1975 after working at the Stevens County Road Department shop.
He was a member of Colville United Methodist Church, the Washington State Retirees Chapter No. 29, Colville Odd Fellows Lodge No. 109 and the Colville Rebekah Lodge No. 90.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jim Witham of Colville, Tom Witham of Spokane and Fred Witham of Yakima; three sisters, Beulah Easton of Jerome, Genevieve Scamahorn of Colville and Wanda Broadwell of Gladstone, Ariz.; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Lucile Hedberg Coeur d’Alene
Service for Lucile M. Hedberg, 89, will be held today at 1 p.m. at English Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will take place at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
Mrs. Hedberg, who was born in Minnesota, died Wednesday.
She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School and was a homemaker, living in Coeur d’Alene most of her life.
Mrs. Hedberg was a member of the Community Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Hedberg of Shelton, Wash., and James Hedberg of Coeur d’Alene; daughter, June Orr of Dalton Gardens, Idaho; one brother; two sisters; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Vera McDougall Spokane
Memorial service for Vera M. McDougall, 74, will be held at 4 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDougall, who died Monday, was born in Peete, Iowa.
She lived in Reardan, Wash., and was a teacher and librarian for the Reardan School District for 15 years. She moved to Spokane a year ago.
Her husband, John McDougall Jr., died in 1981.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce McDougall of Spokane and Ralph McDougall of Kearny, Ariz.; a daughter, Donna McDougall of Kearny; two sisters, Barbara McAllister and Alice Schultz, both of California; two brothers, Bernard and Art Binford, both of Spokane; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Walter Bourgo Spokane
Funeral Mass for Walter L. Bourgo, 77, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bourgo, who died Sunday, was born in Washborn, Wis., and came to Spokane in 1944.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and worked in building maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Bourgo.
Mr. Bourgo is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Norma Peasley Omak, Wash.
Memorial service for Norma Peasley, 81, will be held at a later date in Keller, Wash. Summers Funeral Chapel in Boise is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Peasley, who was born in Keller, died Sunday.
She attended grade school in Keller and then attended the Chemawa Indian School for a year before going to Republic (Wash.) High School.
In 1932 she married Ed Peasley in Davenport, Wash., and they ranched at Keller until 1944.
Mrs. Peasley was the owner and operator of the Sister’s Cafe in Okanogan, Wash., and the Sportsman Cafe in Omak. She also worked at Biles Coleman Mill until 1980, when she retired. She also sold Fuller Brush products.
Mrs. Peasley served as a member of the Indian HUD Housing Board for 15 years and was a member of the Democratic Party Committee for 14 years. She was also a charter member of Eagles Lodge No. 3004 of Okanogan.
Survivors include a daughter, Myrna Thompson of Boise; two sisters, Frieda Scott of Bremerton and Fern Ashley of Yakima; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Albert ‘Punk’ Kjack Spokane
Services for Albert “Punk” Kjack, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Malden (Wash.) Community Church. Burial will be at Pine City (Wash.) Cemetery. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kjack, a former resident of Malden, died last Saturday.
He was born in Malden and was a farmer.
He was a member of Malden Masonic Lodge No. 88, Order of Eastern Star No. 49 and Kenova Grange No. 556, where he served as treasurer for 25 years.
Mr. Kjack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Kjack; two sons, Dale Kjack of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Kent Kjack of Malden; two daughters, Karen Demko and Diane Barnhart, both of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Ellen Betts of Modesto, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Hazel Hassebrock Spokane
Graveside service for Hazel C. Hassebrock, 95, is planned for 1:30 p.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 18 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hassebrock, who died Tuesday, was a lifetime Spokane resident.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a sister, Rolly O’Connell of Burien, Wash.

Effie ‘Lorraine’ Noland Moscow, Idaho
Graveside service for Effie “Lorraine” Noland, 81, is set for 10 a.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Noland died Tuesday in Moscow, where she had lived for the past eight years.
She was born in Colville, Wash., and attended North Central High School.
She worked as a chain stitch operator for B&B Trophy Co. in Spokane.
She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mrs. Noland is survived by a daughter, Donna Flechsig of Moscow; and two step-grandchildren.
Stanley Grygny Spokane
Memorial Mass for Stanley J. Grygny, 48, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Grygny, who was born in Wisconsin, died Tuesday.
He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1953 and graduated from the Immaculate Heart of Mary High School. He played football in high school and made AllState his senior year.
Mr. Grygny went on to attend North Idaho College and graduated from the University of Idaho with a business administration degree in 1974.
He had worked for Potlatch Corp. for 19 years and recently owned Merchant Futures in Spokane. He had recently been working on a master’s degree in business.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey and Brian Grygny, both of Spokane, and Clayton Grygny of Seattle; his mother, Isabelle Gierlach of Lewiston; four sisters, Jannette Buffington of Centralia, Wash., Kathy Quick of Vancouver, Wash., Bonnie Williams of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Marcine Wood of California; and one granddaughter.

Nancy Leong Spokane
Service for Nancy W. Leong, 61, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Leong, who died Monday, was born in China and had lived in Spokane for 36 years. She was a restaurant cook.
She is survived by her husband, Dick Leong; a son, David Leong of Spokane; a daughter, Lotus Leong of Colbert; her mother, Shuet Fong Tong, and a sister, Jean Chan, both of San Francisco; and three grandchildren.
Edna Morris Spokane
Service for Edna M. Morris, 63, was Monday at the United Methodist Church in Deer Park. Burial was at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.
Mrs. Morris, who died last Friday, was born in Montana.
She was a longtime Deer Park resident and had also lived in Spokane.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Robert Morris, died in 1994.
She is survived by a son, Kelly Morris of Spokane; a grandson; two brothers, Chuck and Ken Robertson; and two sisters, Lila Baxter and Ann Hickson.
Ellen Beckerini Spokane
Vigil service for Ellen Beckerini, 78, is set for 7 p.m. today at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Beckerini, who died Tuesday, was born in Powell, Wyo.
She was a 35-year Spokane resident and was a member of St. Thomas More Parish and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
She worked as an office manager.
She is survived by two sons, Grant Becherini of Spokane and Mark Beckerini of Renton, Wash; a daughter, Rita Leaf of Bellevue, Wash.; a brother, Grant Cline of Paradise, Calif.; a sister, Marie Cline of Carmichael, Calif.; six grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter.

Stanton Walker Colville, Wash.
Service for Stanton Irving Walker was held at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville. Cremation followed the service.
Mr. Walker, 85, was born in Arden, Wash.
He attended Lewis and Clark High School and briefly played baseball for the Spokane Indians and later the Northport (Wash.) town team.
In 1936 he married Camille “Millie” Johnson. She died in 1987.
He worked as a miner, logger and ironworker. He was the foreman of the ironworkers on the Northport Bridge Project. He retired from the Washington Department of Transportation in 1974.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Northport Grange.
Mr. Walker is survived by three sons, Charles and Gary Walker, both of Colville, and Dean Walker of Spokane; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Rose Ross Loon Lake, Wash.
Memorial service for Rose M. Ross, 62, will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Springdale (Wash.) Community Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Toronto, Ohio, Mrs. Ross died Wednesday.
She had worked as a secretary for the superintendent of the Springdale School District.
Mrs. Ross was a member of the Springdale Community Church and was a Loon Lake resident for 21 years.
Her husband, Paul, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Ross of Spokane, Paul Ross of Loon Lake and Joe Ross of Springdale; her mother, Edith Sabo, and a brother, Harold “Ham” Sabo, both of Loon Lake; and numerous grandchildren.
John Snizik Veradale
Memorial service for John S. Snizik, 41, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Snizik, who died Tuesday, was born in Covina, Calif., and had lived in Spokane for the past 30 years.
He graduated from Rogers High School and Eastern Washington University with an education degree and worked for Food Services of America as a salesman for many years.
He had climbed Mount Rainier.
Mr. Snizik is survived by his wife of 14 years, Peggy; two sons, Jacob and Nicholas, both at the home; a daughter, Marie of Everett; his parents, Jack and Evans Anne Snizik of Spokane; a brother, Jack Snizik of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and two sisters, Claudia Charbonneau of Loon Lake, Wash., and Roseanne Martin of Nine Mile Falls.

Patricia Morgan Spokane
Memorial service for Patricia Joan Morgan will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Corbin Senior Activity Center. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Morgan, 62, died last Friday.
She was born in Calgary, Alberta, and graduated from North Central High School. She had lived in Spokane for 51 years.
She worked at The Crescent for 10 years as a package wrapper and was was active in Camp Fire Girls. She was a member of the Channel 3 Citizens Band Radio Club.
Her husband, Joseph Morgan, died in 1983.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by four daughters, Rebecca Morgan, Carol Webster and Cindy Wahl, all of Spokane, and Linda Tanner of Elko, Nev.; a brother, William Rodin, and a sister, Helen Kreis, both of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
