Richard Lycan Spokane
Private memorial service for Richard G. Lycan, 79, was held.
Mr. Lycan, who was born in Spokane and raised in Pullman, died Wednesday.
He attended Washington State College and then was appointed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.
During World War II he served as a squadron commander, flying B-24s. He left the military in 1948 and moved to Walla Walla. He came to Spokane in 1950.
In Spokane he founded the Richard G. Lycan Insurance Agency.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jean Lycan; four daughters, Wendy Jackson of Bellevue, Laurie Skipper of Vallencia, Calif., Deborah Lycan of West Linn, Ore., and Barbara Crews of Girdwood, Alaska; a sister, Claire Groth of Walla Walla; and seven grandchildren.
Cora Longbottom Cheney
Service for Cora Myrtle Longbottom, 103, will be at noon Monday at Cheney United Methodist Church. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Longbottom, a 12-year Cheney resident, died Tuesday.
She was born in Woodburn, Wis.; and moved to the Northwest in 1909. She had lived in Okanogan, Wash., for 81 years.
She worked sorting apples until she was 85 and walked a mile and a half each way to work.
She was a member of the Cheney United Methodist Church Her husband, Benjamin, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Showalter of Cheney; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Lois Schoedel Spokane
Memorial service for Lois E. Schoedel, 70, is planned for 4 p.m. Monday at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Schoedel, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Wednesday.
She graduated from North Central High School and taught English as a second language at Country Homes Christian Church.
She was a member of the Little Spokane Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband, John “Jack”; two sons, Kim Schoedel of Spokane and Todd Schoedel of Everett; a sister, Betty Mielke of Newport, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Rayanne Morgan Tacoma
Service for Rayanne F. Morgan, a former Spokane resident, was Monday at Chambers Creek Chapel at New Tacoma Cemetery.
Mrs. Morgan, 50, died Jan. 2.
She was born in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School.
She later graduated from Central Washington University and taught home economics in the Tacoma School District for 26 years.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Roger Cantaloube; her mother, Marjann Reed of Allen, Wash.; her father, Raymond Morgan of Spokane; and two sisters, Sylvia Durkee of Port Orchard, Wash., and Sandra Hamann of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Edna Daniels Spokane
No service will be held for Edna Daniels. There will be private burial at Riverside Memorial Park.
Mrs. Daniels, who died Wednesday, was born in Wenatchee and had lived in Spokane for more than 30 years.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a bakery clerk.
Her husband, Ray Daniels, preceded her in death.
There are no surviving family members.
Wanda Nelson Post Falls
Service for Wanda A. Nelson, 64, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls.
Mrs. Nelson, who was born in California, died Thursday.
She moved to North Idaho in 1987 and had worked as a bookkeeper and accountant.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Assembly of God Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Quilters Society.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; four sons, William and Jeffrey Cully, and Arthur Apgar, all of California, and Allen Culley of Veradale; two daughters, Sheree Culley of Spokane and Charlene Shanks of California; her mother, of California; two sisters, Bobbie Yaeger of California and Janice Brady of Oregon; and a brother, William Garrison of California.

Nell Duncan Twisp, Wash.
Visitation for Nell Kathrene Duncan, 75, is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m., Friday at Precht’s Methow Valley Chapel in Twisp. Burial will be held at the Beaver Creek Cemetery in Twisp.
Born in Wray, Colo., Mrs. Duncan died Wednesday.
She married Kenneth Duncan in August of 1939 in Oklahoma.
They lived in Hutchinson, Kan., until they moved to Spokane in 1956. In 1957 they moved to Twisp.
Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Methow Valley Senior Citizens.
Her husband died in 1983. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Duncan of Twisp; a brother, George Gum of Colorado; a sister, Helen Goetz of Hutchinson, Kan.; two grandsons and one great-grandson.

Jane McGee Walla Walla
Graveside service for Jane E. McGee, 94, was Friday at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
Born in England, Mrs. McGee died Monday in Walla Walla where she had lived since 1990.
She moved to Canada from England in 1914 and to the United States in 1932. She was a longtime Spokane resident.
She was a member of Beacon Rebekah Lodge No. 91 in Mead.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank.
Survivors include a son, Glen McGee of Arizona; a daughter, Shirley Myers of Murray, Idaho; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
