Dear Heloise: This is my Sound Off. Maybe manufacturers of these items will take heed. I have been given pajamas and nightgowns as gifts. They sew them with thread that bites or scratches. You go crazy and can’t sleep. They should design them so that the thread would be on the outside.

I’ve given one away, and one I lined and covered up the thread. Lately, I’ve been wearing them inside out. God forbid I die or get sick in bed. They’ll think I’m wacky with my bed clothes on inside out. - Mary Metrick, Beaver Meadows, Pa.
