Arthur L. led from start to finish to beat favored Acceptable by a neck in the Holy Bull Stakes for 3-year-olds at Gulfstream in Miami.

The first two finishers are nominated to run the $500,000 Florida Derby on March 15 and probably will run in the $200,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes Feb. 22 en route to the May 3 Kentucky Derby.

Pacificbounty won the $200,000 Golden Gate Derby at Albany, Calif., in one of the season’s first major races for 3-year-olds.
