Dear Heloise: Recently, one of my clients had her wallet stolen.

Along with the money, she lost items like credit cards, driver’s license, health insurance cards and all the other items that people usually carry around with them.

She had a problem remembering everything that was in her wallet and had a hard time reconstructing a complete inventory so she quickly could notify everyone and get replacements.

It only takes a few minutes to take all the items one carries in a wallet and make copies, front and back, of them on one or two regular-size pages. This information can then be kept in a safe place and be used when necessary to quickly contact third parties and get replacements. - Eric Hoefnagel, Dallas
