Nic Tips Ricks, Takes Over First

North Idaho saw most of its 20-point second-half lead evaporate before holding off Ricks College 74-69 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Friday night in Rexburg, Idaho.

The victory improves NIC’s conference record to 7-2 and gives the Cardinals sole possession of first place. The Vikings drop to 6-3 in the conference.

Shawn Myrick sparked North Idaho with a game-high 22 points. Teammate Chris Harrison added 17 points to go with his game-high nine rebounds.

The Cardinals shot 53 percent from the floor.

Danny Bower led Ricks with 19 points and Adam Greene scored 18.
