Dear Heloise: I recently learned a great trick to prevent losing buttons forever. Sew them with dental floss! It’s extremely strong and durable. I also used it to sew up my backpack. Melissa Cochran, Tallahassee, Fla.

Dear Heloise: Photos are irreplaceable and precious. The minute I get a roll of film back, I pop them into an album almost immediately.

As soon as the album is full, I sit at my computer and type a table of contents and put that in the front of each album. I now have 48 albums and can look up whatever year or event I want just by looking at the list of albums and the table of contents for each. - Wilma Spivey, Lillian, Ala.
