Bus Rides Reduced To 5 Cents On Fourth

Riding Spokane Transit Authority buses and vans will cost just 5 cents on the Fourth of July.

“With all of the activities in our community on July 4, we wanted to encourage families to take the bus and not worry about the traffic and parking,” STA Executive Director Allen Schweim said in a prepared statement.

Selected routes will operate hourly from about 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The last buses will leave downtown Spokane from STA Plaza at the conclusion of the Riverfront Park fireworks show.

Special schedules can be found on buses and STA customer service locations. People can also call 328-RIDE between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Paratransit service is also available on the Fourth. , DataTimes
