Wallace Students Honored At Annual Awards Ceremony

Wallace High School recently held its annual awards ceremony recognizing students with awards and scholarships. Recipients include:

Leslie Clark, North Idaho College H.C. Slamberg Award, Business Professionals of America competition winner, Presidential Academic Fitness Award, Business and Office Procedures Completer, and the School to Work Recognition Award; Shirley Lindstrom, NIC H.C. Slamberg Outstanding Teacher Award; Cory Harman, NIC Callahan-Zeller Foundation and the Martha Norton Memorial Scholarship, Idaho Governor’s Award, Philip and Lucy Weber Award, and the School to Work Recognition Award; Jami Mathewson, Business Professionals of America Business Week delegate; and April Derbyshire, Business Professionals of America Business Week delegate.

Mike Jennings, Business Professionals of America Business Week delegate, Scholastic Team Award, Perfect Attendance Award, Idaho Knowledge Masters Boys State delegate, and Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11); Lori Morris, Business Professionals of America competition winner and Business and Office Procedures completer; Jeremy Johnson, NIC Articulation (one or more courses for WHS and NIC credit), Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11), and Idaho Knowledge Masters Boys State delegate; Darci Hayes, NIC Articulation (one or more courses for WHS and NIC credit); and Heather Branstetter, Scholastic Team Award, Idaho Knowledge Master, Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation delegate, and Excellence in English Award (grade 10).

Tara Stueker, Excellence in English Award (grade 9), Idaho Knowledge Masters Girl State delegate, and Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11); Grant Kinsey, Scholastic Team Award and Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11); Kevin Tesky, School to Work Recognition Award; Chad Pluid, School to Work Recognition Award; Dale Bourgeois, Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11) and School to Work Recognition Award; and Josh Cantamessa, School to Work Recognition Award and Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11).

Ben Blanchard, Medical Scholars Program at Washington State University, high score on Idaho Writing Assessment, Idaho Knowledge Masters and Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award; Rachael Pommerening, California Medical Forum Program at University of California-Berkeley, and School to Work Recognition Award; and Sheila Karst, Idaho Knowledge Masters and Outstanding Test Achievement Recognition Award (TAP grade 11).
