Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Here in southeastern New Mexico we have dust in the air most of the time, and keeping leaves on houseplants clean is a real problem.

One day I saw my feather duster and thought, why not try it? Well, it works very well, so now I have a duster for plants only. M.J. Robinson, Lovington, N.M.

Dear Heloise: In one of your columns you wrote about paper clips. You missed one important hint. When the tab breaks on a zipper (pants, pocketbook, boots, jacket), use a paper clip.

My husband had a stroke. The tab was off the pants, so I used a large paper clip. It worked wonders, as he could zip up his with his right hand.
