Budsbey Lifts Bandits; Davis Hurls Aa No-No

Matt Budsbey went 3 for 4 with a single, two doubles and five RBIs to lead the Bandits to a 14-6 victory over the Blue Devils in a AAA American Legion game Saturday at Shadle Park.

Geoff Gray pitched a complete game for the Bandits and teammates Tim Collins and Garrett Sampson drove in three runs apiece.

Eric Hayden doubled twice in four at-bats for the Blue Devils. He drove in two runs.

Pete Davis of the Deer Park American Legion team pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strike outs and three walks as Deer Park defeated Rogers 8-0 in a AA game.

At bat, Davis was 2 for 2 and drove in one run.

Golf

Ben Crane of Portland, two strokes behind through much of the match, rallied to defeat Ryan Kelly of Bremerton 2 and 1 for the championship of the Pacific Northwest Amateur Golf Tournament at Canby, Ore. , DataTimes
