Ambassadors Reports Higher Revenue, Profit
Spokane-based Ambassadors International Inc. reported a 28 percent increase in gross program receipts for the quarter ended June 30, 1997, compared to the quarter ended June 30, 1996.
For the second quarter of 1997, the company’s net revenue increased to $11.7 million from $10.0 million. This 18 percent increase was the result of an increase in gross program receipts, to $35.5 million in the second quarter of 1997 from $27.9 million in the comparable 1996 period. Operating expenses increased $600,000, to $3.7 million in 1997 from $3.1 million a year ago.
In the second quarter of 1997, the net income for the Company was 80 cents per share, compared with 72 cents per share for the same period in the prior year.
