Vacation Bible school planned

The United Methodist Church of Cheney will host a vacation Bible school for kids age 3 through the sixth grade.

“Adventure Fair: God’s Kids in Action” will run Aug. 4-8 at the church, 204 Fourth St., in Cheney.

A potluck dinner will start off each evening at 5:15 p.m., and classes will follow from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Each evening will have a different theme as the kids sing songs, make crafts, learn Bible stories and play games.

There will also be a class for adults offered during the same time frame. The classes are free, but a $2 donation is requested to help cover the cost of supplies.
