Body Found In Columbia Identified

A body found floating in the Columbia River near its confluence with the Kettle River on July 13 has been identified as Rhonda Leigh Toderian, 21, of Red Deer, Alberta.

Toderian drowned after a car she was driving accidentally plunged into the river. Due to high waters, the vehicle was not recovered until Saturday, according to the Ferry County Sheriff’s Department.

Toderian fell asleep at the wheel of her car. She apparently awoke when it left the road, overcorrected and then the vehicle left the road, hit a tree and went into the river, a state patrol report said.
