Kiraly, Johnson Team Up For Title

Karch Kiraly and Adam Johnson’s season full of setbacks finally paid off - and the check was big.

Appearing in their first championship beach volleyball match together, Johnson and Kiraly cruised to a 15-4 victory over rookies Daxton Holdren and Todd Rogers at the $300,000 Miller Lite U.S. Championships.

Sixth-ranked Johnson and Kiraly have been playing together for only two months. They both were dropped by their former teammates, Jose Loiola and Kent Steffes, before the season began.
