Spano Posts Dallas Home
John Spano posted his $3.15 million Dallas home to make bail Monday in a fraud case stemming from his failed attempt to buy the New York Islanders, prosecutors said.
Spano, who had been free before coming up with bail, posted the $1.25 million equity he has in the home, said executive assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Muller.
Prosecutors say the 33-year-old businessman lied about his net worth to Fleet Bank, the NHL and Islanders owner John Pickett. He was arraigned Wednesday on wire and bank fraud charges in federal court in Uniondale.
