Folk Singer Still Missing

A search of the Mississippi River Sunday failed to find folk singer Jeff Buckley, who disappeared while swimming in a river harbor.

Buckley, 30, was last seen Thursday, singing and swimming on his back in the Memphis harbor by a friend, authorities said.

The son of 1960s songwriter Tim Buckley, he had come to Memphis in February to work at a recording studio. Columbia Records publicists said he was preparing to cut a new album here.
