Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Do you need a lap counter at the fitness center or the mall? Count out a number of coins (or half the number) and transfer them from one pocket to another as you walk or jog.

Another favorite hint is to cut your name off that old credit card and glue it on an item or punch a hole in it to go on a key chain when your car goes to auto service. C.H. Meador, Elizabethtown, Ky.

A very clever way to keep track of laps, and a great recycling idea for an old credit card. Thanks for taking the time to drop these hints in the mail. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: When I heat leftovers, I grate some cheese on them, which makes them taste delicious and like a fresh dish! It’s a quick way to have supper that tastes new. - Mildred Sherrer, Bay City, Texas

Make it look different, taste a little different and call it something other than leftovers! I won’t tell. - Heloise
