Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I use a little rotating two-tier spice shelf to store medicine and first-aid items in my hall linen closet.

This eliminates crawling over to get to the back of the shelf and keeps most-used items within easy reach and at eye level. - Shirley Adams, Boise

Dear Heloise: I have what I think are good ideas for tackle boxes. I use them for two things. I like the clear ones and I use them to store holiday jewelry. I also use them for my special sewing thread, one for regular thread and another one for embroidery thread. They sure are handy for all of these things. - Joann Atwood, East Peoria, Ill.

Dear Heloise: I have made copies of favorite recipes my grandchildren have enjoyed over the years and put them into a book for them to have.

Someday their families can enjoy them too. They really appreciated it. - Edith Carty, Lafayette Hill, Pa.

Dear Heloise: The ring that holds my measuring spoons together broke. I tried a twist tie that came with a loaf of bread and it works beautifully! - Paula Kohlhoff, Fond du Lac, Wis.

If you have an unused key ring lying around, it’ll work great too! Thanks for writing. - Heloise
