Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Five ways to use magnets:

Put one on the washer or dryer in the laundromat to mark the machine you’re using.

Use a magnet to hold notes on the refrigerator.

Use it to pick up needles and pins that you’ve dropped.

Put one on the dishwasher when dishes are clean (or dirty).

Give as one-of-a-kind gifts. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: This is in response to the woman who had trouble with her belt ends being too long.

I had the same problem and I just bought some sticky-backed self-gripping fabric tape that matched the belt and put that on the end of the belt. Problem solved very neatly. - Cathy Tolsma, Fond du Lac, Wis.
