Compusa Starts Work On Spokane Store

One of the nation’s largest computer retailers is entering the Spokane market with a 25,000-square-foot store.

Dallas, Texas-based CompUSA began construction at Ruby and Cataldo this week on the store, which will include 20,000 square feet of retail space and 5,000 square feet for a training area.

The store is scheduled to open early next year.

CompUSA is a publicly held company which posted sales of $3.8 billion in fiscal year 1996. The company has 127 stores nationwide and plans to open between 25 and 30 stores in 1998.
