Skier Has Tax Woes

Alberto Tomba, the flamboyant ski hero, may have run into Italy’s tax laws.

Prosecutors and tax police in Bologna said this week they are investigating Tomba, who has won Olympic medals powering through slalom gates.

Corriere della Sera, a Milan newspaper, said investigators were chasing some “secret” Tomba accounts in offshore tax havens.
