Mariners Prevail

Brought together by interleague play, the two highestscoring teams in the majors did not disappoint Thursday night: Seattle Mariners 12, Colorado Rockies 11.

Down 6-0 in the second inning and 10-6 in the sixth, the Mariners finally passed Colorado in the seventh on Jay Buhner’s three-run double.

Ken Griffey Jr. drove in three runs and Paul Sorrento had three of the Seattle’s 12 hits.
