FOR THE RECORD: 6-17-97 ID Item wrong: Patrick Wheeler reported June 9 the theft of keys from a 1989 Sun Runner boat while it was moored at Foss Maritime on Blackwell Road. The theft was reported incorrectly in the June 14 police blotter.

Matthew Surplus reported Thursday the $579 theft of stereo equipment from his van while it was parked at his home on the 2500 block of Sherman Ave.

Brian Backlin reported Thursday the $312 theft of a CD player and compact disc and $150 damage to the window and console of his pickup truck while it was parked at his home on the 1000 block of 17th St.

Scott Casey reported Thursday the $780 theft of a pearl necklace, tools and cash from his home on the 4300 block of Ramsey Road.

Myria Ragland reported Thursday the $350 theft of a mountain bike when it was borrowed from her home and not returned.

Kootenai County sheriff

Kevin Fischer, Post Falls, reported Thursday the $600 theft of cash and a handgun from his home on the 7200 block of Hauser Lake Road.

Lois Debenham, Worley, reported Wednesday the $500 theft of an aluminum boat from property on the 24500 block of Snow Owl Court.

Ann Walls, Hayden Lake, reported June 3 the $1,092 theft by deception of airline tickets that were purchased from a travel agency in Post Falls and never delivered.

Intermountain Security reported Tuesday the $330 theft of golf balls from the Highlands Golf Course, 5500 Mullan Ave.
