Some Zip Codes To Change

ZIP codes will change July 1 in several areas of the Inland Northwest, including parts of Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.

In Spokane, 4,390 customers living in the 99207 ZIP code area east of Market Street will be reassigned the 99217 ZIP code.

Another 1,273 customers with the 99204 ZIP code between Interstate 90 on the south, Sprague Avenue on the north, Cedar Street on the west and Division Street on the east will change to 99201.

In Coeur d’Alene, 8,960 residents with the 83814 ZIP code will switch to 83815. The affected area: Appleway and Best avenues on the south, Finucane and Huetter roads as well as Post Falls and Rathdrum on the north, Huetter Road on the west and Coeur d’Alene National Forest on the east.

Population growth has led to the addition of the ZIP codes, according to area postmasters.
