Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I sometimes have trouble remembering which cookbook houses which favorite recipe.

A solution I thought of is to make a file card for each recipe I use, noting the cookbook’s name and page number. I file it under the correct category in my card file. This simple step has saved time and frustration. - Elizabeth Trow, Fairport, N.Y.

Dear Heloise: Buy an extra shower-curtain rod. Mount it near the back wall over the tub and use it to hang wet towels, swimsuits and delicate laundry out of sight (with the shower curtain drawn).

If the garments are sopping wet, the water will drain into the tub. Also, it’s a better place to hang a shower caddy than on the shower spout. - Prudie Donoghue, Houston
