Ephrata Man Killed In Wreck

A 26-year-old Ephrata man died Monday after wrecking his car in Whitman County, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Kevin Gruver was driving east on state Highway 26 near the town of Dusty at the time of the crash, troopers said.

Gruver apparently lost control of his 1996 Mazda pickup about 7:10 a.m.

Troopers said the truck careened across the highway, hit a ditch, then swerved back to a ditch on the other side. The truck flipped twice before landing on its wheels, the WSP reported.

Gruver died at the scene of a broken neck and skull fractures, troopers said. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt. , DataTimes
