Family Jamboree Gets Under Way Tonight

The second annual Family Jamboree is planned tonight at the band shell in City Park.

The night of free food, music and games for children begins at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Music begins at 6:30.

Contemporary Christian artists scheduled to perform include Shadowglass, Toni Kidwell and Juanita & Friends.

Clowns, balloons and face-painting will be available for children. Prizes to be given away include two bicycles and gifts from Fruit of the Spirit and the Bible Book Nook.

The event is sponsored by Mid-Way Community Chapel. , DataTimes
