Trust Fund Set Up For Accident Victim

From Staff And Wire Reports

A trust fund has been established for the family of 13-year-old Cooper Jones of Spokane, who remained in critical condition late Thursday after being hit by a car.

Donations may be made to the Cooper Jones Trust Fund at Washington Trust Bank, 717 W. Sprague, Spokane 99201.

The fund was established by employees at Sacred Heart Medical Center, where Cooper’s father, David Jones, is an on-call pharmacist.

In his position, Jones accrues no sick time and has no paid vacation. Pharmacy employees said they have donated their sick time to Jones so he can be with his son.

The boy was in a bicycle race west of Cheney Tuesday when he was hit by a Cadillac on state Highway 904. He suffered massive head injuries.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident. , DataTimes
