Brown’s Goal Lifts Shadow

Chad Brown’s rebound goal from six yards out in overtime gave the visiting Spokane Shadow a 1-0 USISL Premier League win Saturday over the Bellingham Orcas.

Bellingham goalkeeper Travers Enslow kept the Orcas in the game by making 15 saves against Spokane’s 22 shots on goal.

The game-winning goal came when Brown passed to Zane Higgins, who carried the ball inside the box, beat the defender and got off a shot that was deflected by Enslow. Brown nailed the rebound through the posts.

Spokane improves to 13-2 in the Northwest Division and 14-3 overall.
