Phone home: The telecommunications deregulation bill passed the House on Wednesday. Reps. Jeff Alltus, R-Hayden; John Campbell, R-Sandpoint; Jim Clark, R-Hayden; Chuck Cuddy, D-Orofino; June Judd, D-St. Maries; Hilde Kellogg, R-Post Falls; Wayne Meyer, R-Rathdrum; Don Pischner, R-Coeur d’Alene; and Larry Watson, D-Wallace; all voted to pass the bill. Rep. Jim Stoicheff, D-Sandpoint, voted against it.

Snake eyes: The bill that would have made the Western Rattlesnake the state reptile died in the House on Monday. Rep. Jim Stoicheff voted to pass the bill. All other North Idaho legislators voted against it.

This spud’s for you: The bill that would make the potato the state vegetable passed the House on Thursday. All North Idaho lawmakers voted to pass the bill.

Drink up: A bill that would grant the Clark House, a bed and breakfast on Hayden Lake, a special liquor license passed the House on Wednesday. Reps. John Campbell, R-Sandpoint, and Jim Stoicheff, D-Sandpoint, voted against the bill. All other North Idaho lawmakers voted to pass it.
